Your Wedding Day Photography Timeline

A sample timeline for full-day coverage, so you know how much time to actually block off for photos.

Every wedding is different, but this is the general shape of a full-day Celebrations24 photography timeline. We build your exact version of this together before your wedding.

1
Getting ready (2 hours before ceremony)

Detail shots (dress, rings, invitations, shoes) and candid hair/makeup moments for both getting-ready locations.

2
First look & couple portraits (if booked)

A private first look lets us shoot most couple portraits before the ceremony, freeing up time later for cocktail hour.

3
Wedding party photos (30 min)

Fun, relaxed group shots with your wedding party, ideally scheduled before the ceremony if a first look is planned.

4
Family formals (20–30 min, right after ceremony)

Quick, organized group photos using your prepared shot list, while everyone is still dressed and in one place.

5
Ceremony coverage

Full ceremony coverage from prelude through recessional, positioned to stay out of your guests’ sightlines.

6
Cocktail hour candids (60 min)

Candid guest moments while you may be finishing portraits or enjoying a private moment together.

7
Reception key moments

Grand entrance, first dance, toasts, cake cutting, and parent dances, called out in coordination with your DJ/MC.

8
Golden hour portraits (10–15 min)

A short break during sunset for a few extra couple portraits in the best light of the day, if timeline allows.

9
Open dancing & send-off

Candid reception energy through your last dance and grand exit.
