Your Wedding Day Timeline

Here is how a typical Celebrations24 wedding flows from first song to last dance. We build a version of this timeline with you before the big day, so nothing is left to guesswork.

1
Prelude & Guest Arrival (30 min before)

Background music plays as guests are seated. Your MC quietly confirms the wedding party is ready and cues the officiant.

2
Processional & Ceremony

Prelude fades, the processional songs cue on time, and your DJ manages ceremony sound (mics, readings, vows) so every word is heard in the back row.

3
Cocktail Hour (60 min)

Upbeat but conversational music while your DJ sets up the reception space and confirms reception timing with your planner or venue coordinator.

4
Grand Entrance & First Dance

Your MC announces the wedding party and newlyweds, then transitions straight into your first dance without a dead-air gap.

5
Dinner, Toasts & Key Dances

Dinner background music at conversation level, clean mic handoffs for toasts, and the parent dances, cake cutting, and bouquet/garter moments called at the right beat.

6
Open Dancing & Last Dance

Your DJ reads the floor and adjusts the music in real time to keep it full, then closes the night with your chosen last dance and send-off song.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ?

Most Tampa Bay couples book their DJ 9–12 months out, and popular Saturday dates in spring and fall can go earlier. If your date is close, reach out anyway — we can often still make it work.

Do you take music requests from guests?

Yes, and we love them — but we always run them by you first if a request would change the vibe you asked for. You stay in control of your do-play and do-not-play lists all night.

Can you also MC the ceremony and make announcements?

Yes. Your DJ doubles as MC for the full event: ceremony sound, wedding party introductions, toasts, and every transition in between, so you only need to brief one person on your whole day.

What happens if our DJ is sick on our wedding day?

Every booking is backed by our team, not a single freelancer. If your assigned DJ is ever unable to perform, we provide a fully briefed replacement with your timeline and music choices — your day is never left uncovered.

Do you bring backup equipment?

Yes. Every event includes a backup sound system and a second device with your full music library, so a single piece of gear failing never stops your reception.

Can you coordinate directly with our planner or venue?

Absolutely, and we prefer it. We’ll confirm your timeline directly with your planner or venue coordinator in the weeks before your wedding so every vendor is working off the same schedule.
